Dude, how long does it take to do a quick internet search and find out these simple facts? Have you never heard of discogs.com ? If you're going to write about something, anything, do a little research, make sure you know your facts, it's really not that difficult! It either shows a lack of knowledge, a lack of respect or just laziness.

On the other hand, it's a great track and deserves all the exposure it can get, so props for that at least ;)

so what's up, do you wanna come on here and show me up? i wish you lots of luck with that, son.

“thanks for telling me my “problem”. this just in: my friend dj monk who lives down the street from me also has never heard the tune."

tell dj monk that he is a joker, just like you.

"im willing to bet many other well respected djs also have not heard it."

respected by whom?

"i bet the martinez brothers at the young ages of I think like 16/17 years old haven’t heard it, they would’ve been like 5 years old when it came out."

i'm sure this will surprise you a lot, but i dont care about a couple of little kids on some novelty act type shit. if they dont know it, its because they havent done their homework.

"they dont deserve to have jaded old farts chin stroking their sets, they dont deserve to have comments like “young punk kids these days dont know shit”. give me a fukn break. dont be jealous you’re a balding dj doing free gigs at the local pub clearing dancefloors while they’re actually rocking it. that’s ok though, because at least you can contribute greatly not on the floor but on the internet."

im not balding.

"theres too much music that has come out over the years to expect every jock to know every single good one."

again showing your great taste in music. by my estimation, it doesnt take much to keep up with all the good music coming out since there just isn't much of it. but if youre playing crap, im sure theres way too much stuff for you to buy to pay attention to anything good.

"you have a great blog, but this article just says amateur journalism; energy could’ve been better spent elsewhere."

in fact it couldnt. oddly enough beatport didnt seem to think enough of the initial post to keep it online. so my point was obviously driven home.

"at #2: please dont bring up the race card. that is so lame. who gives a fuck what color someone is who made the track. one of the great things about this music is that its mostly faceless. it sucks when someone who happens to know the artist is not white blabs about that fact and ruins the mystery. im glad they didnt put up a mug of moodyman, id rather not know."

hahahahahaha.

"at #1: wrong release date. oooooo! woopdee fuckn doo. i think the only people that care are release nerds that take this shit too seriously."

yeah, what good are "facts" anyway. who needs them?

“sure, but you take it too seriously. ying yang. so we’ve identified your “problem”. i’ll work on my “problem” while you work on yours."

the only problem i have is my fingers getting tired from replying to your nonsense. you dont have to take the "you wanna talk some nonsense?" bit so seriously.

at #1: wrong release date. oooooo! woopdee fuckn doo. i think the only people that care are release nerds that take this shit too seriously. which brings up this:

how exactly can we have a snobbish attitude when the whole idea of the site is to expose people to the music, deejays, and ideas that are not currently being explored? but thats hardly the point.

my qualms (in a more concise list format) with the post are:
1. wrong information
2. disingenuous marketing by using something other than the quality of the record (mainly the white mnml face) to sell it
3. general cluelessness to the genre

#3 is apparently your problem as well if you have been into house music since 1995 and not heard that tune. seriously, that tune has been huge for so many deejays across the techno and house spectrum that its ridiculous. what kind of house and techno have you been listening to?

it's also sad that the "serious vs. party" line has to be brought up yet again. i don't know about you, but my whole life is not a party. in fact, there would be nothing to party about if life was all about not giving a shit about anything. studying the history and ideas about partying has been a constant since the beginning of house music. in 1984 people were playing 10+ years of music in their sets, that didnt happen by not taking the music seriously!

im torn. i dont know whether to praise you or bitch at you. on the one hand, its great you have a blog with lots of invaluable knowledge and tips into quality dance music. on the other hand, i hate snobby attitudes. you're a snob for expecting the whole world to know who the fuck moodyman is. thats what djs do, they pull up an old tune that maybe a lot of people have never heard and introduce it to them. im a dj and ive been into house/techno since 1995. should i be ashamed for not ever hearing this tune before luciano played it? hell no. i see nothing wrong with beatportal's post aside from the wrong release date. all it did was talk about an older tune luciano has been playing lately. so the fuck what. get over yourselves. thats what sucks about dj culture, bunch of prissy fags that take themselves and the history of this music way too seriously. people need to take off their judgement hats and put on their party hats.

Actually I'm not deep into the internet like that ... Actually not really trying to be(LOL...LOL). This helps me from over indulging in & spending to much time fuc*king w/ the internet. Just simple blogging & EVEN, EVEN foolin around with a myspace page is enough (again LOL).

Appreciate that you dig the playlist, though.

And keep doing your thing. I'm really enjoying your blog.
