You can't talk about Boo without mentioning Mars on Headphoniq, along with Midnight Express, its probably the best track he's ever made. It's been a staple in my box since day 1, when it came into the shop.

I have to call out two of my absolute favourite Boo moments here:

Glenn Underground feat Cei Bei - "Take me back" (Boo williams take me back or else mix)

- Absolutely slays all the other mixes on the EP - the way the drums collapse and the groove teeters on the edge of chaos is just awe-inspiring.

Soul Survivors - Ease Your Mind (Boo's vintage mix)

- It's like minimal jersey garage but... better somehow. Great balance between bumping hip-rolling rhythms, beats that bite hard enough to jack to and really soothing soulful lyrics.

That LP on moods & grooves is a beautifull thing. I love the artwork and the ideas behind it. For me this album is all about the track "Summer Love". Thats some special shit right there.
Good to see Boo gettin some well deserved props

Another of my favourite Boo jams is the Big Fat Woman ep on NLC http://www.discogs.com/release/1624
The title track is a nice straight up funky jam but the b side is where its at. Out of sink Jaz is a truly amazing track and really shows the depth of this cats productions

yo...thx for peeepin' on Boo. i've been in the know for years on this guy and folks who are in tune with Chicago House jus don't know. i saw him and GU at this little club in Chi-town last Sep while I was visiting there and did everything in my power to see as much hometown Chi-sound as possible. even though they were BOTH Djing CDs and no vinyl whatsoever, the music was incredible and definitely what I expected to hear from someone that has helped form and define the sound over the years. i definitely recommmend checking these guys out live, even though they are throwin wax anymore, because their sets are definitely something to reckon with.
