Loverly mix, enjoying it right now. Somehow it's just right for the hazy changing fall Chicago weather.

tom, i hope the britpop reference is not in relation to radiohead

that would be as offensive to me as someone referring to theo parrish as American R&B would be to you :)

I'm really enjoying this one... love the KoC edit.

Speaking of "lazy atmospherics" in this vein, for those that enjoyed this mix, the overall vibe (sans vocals) reminds me a little of the "Mysterious Skin" soundtrack - definitely worth a listen as well:

Am I the only one having trouble getting the link to work? Looks like a really good mix, KOC are great, think I may have first heard them early in the morning on the Blue Room - good 5am vibes, all the mix needs is some late 70s early 80s era Scott Walker (Fat Mama's Kick!) and it would be perfect!

"including an album cut from one of my all time favorite autumn records, REM’s “Automatic for the People”." -pipecock
Me too. One of my all-time favorites. Great album.

I'm also a huge 'Kings of Convenience' fan. A few years back I was able to see them in a little bar in Detroit with about 60-75 fans. Amazing. Their two albums are some of my favorite music ever to drop.
