The links sections here at ISM is meant to act as a dependable place to find MP3s, interviews, blog posts, and basically any good resource for music and record related sites. Every blog that is on there is in my personal reader, so that is the highest reccomendation I can give (and let me just say here that if you haven’t looked at all of them yet, do it now! There’s a ton of great stuff in there….)! Innersounds is taking it one step further though, and are doing a series of interviews called “Brothers on the Side” (hahaha) with the people behind the blogs they link to.
I met Jez (the cat behind Innersounds itself) on the DJHistory message board (which I highly reccomend as a good place to talk about all sorts of music) as well as the peeps behind many of the other blogs we link to. Today, ISM is the featured blog, so click here if you wanna read me getting long winded while talking about what we’re trying to do here. There’s a really dope rare Reggie Dokes MP3 on there as well which I highly reccomend you check out.
I just want to thank Jez for this, I think this is a cool idea and it should help people see where these blogs are coming from. Blogs are just like any other expression, the people and motivations behind them are very important and this series has been very interesting so far in showing what most blogs never would post about in the first place: themselves. So big ups to Jez, now I want to think of a creative way to share the love with our fellow blog family members…….

word up, son.
congrats on the (much deserved) press.
PC – Thanks for the kind words, the series is a lot deeper than I first imagined, and has created a new level. I’m glad people are feeling it – but it was a total accident.
Props to you for taking the time to answer the questions !
Have a great weekend. Jez/innersounds
oi, thanks for the mention in the innersounds blog, cool.
btw, jdilla’s ‘ruff drafts’ that’s all I’m saying to you, an absolute timeless gem.
nice little interview there Tom, with some interesting references. I love that Borges book, got that for Christmas last year, really incredible stuff.
cheers for that Reggie Dokes clip too, I love that guy, and that Unknown Artist EP is the one Psychostasia release I still really need to get. I hope he gets his label up and running again soon.
