Guest Mix: Noleian Reusse – Black Tekno Vol. 1

Chicago

Mathematics Recordings has been busy the last few years issuing new material from some of the old school Chicago house originators, remixing and reissuing classic jams, and banging out some new jacking tunes by current Chicago cats. One of those new producers is Noleian Reusse, who releases tunes on Mathematics and Crème Organization with Jamal Moss as Africans With Mainframes. Their twisted, dirty take on house music is hell bent on bringing jack back to house music, along with a twist of nasty acid.

On this mix, Mr. Reusse takes us on a tour of the future roots sound of Black techno. It’s a nice mix-up of distorted trax and deep synth excursions, fantastic for the cold winter nights. Enjoy!

Damn this is sick…tracklist would definitely be awesome. Also, any news on if, when, where he play out in Chicago or NYC would be worthwhile?

  5. kuri says:

this is a tight mix, plenty of deep joints with feet firmly in the detroit area code. but think I hear some european techno bombs in there too. not bad at all. thanks for the hook up tom.
    peace,

Thanks so much for the compliments Mr. Shake and other infinite staters. Very funny is that this is actually not the mix as titled… New postings soon I think.

Oh man, I would love a tracklist for this. Especially if some of these tracks are both new and from Chicago guys. I need to figure out who is in my own damn city!

  9. aidano says:

model 500 ‘neptune’ is the first track, and morgan geist’s remix of fabrice lig ‘please try again’ is the penultimate tune. there are another couple i recognise – they are on the tip of my tongue. very frustrating.

yah cool mix… remember hearing juan, morgan geist and I think 37:00 is Lil Louis’ video clash or could be magic feet by mike dunn or video crash by tyree…all takes on the marshall jefferson produced original.
