Things have been a bit slow here on my part due to my finger being operated on almost two weeks ago. This has resulted in many doctor visits as well as regular physical therapy that in addition to the slowing down of most things I do in life due to only really being able to use one hand (my less useful left hand no less) has resulted in not much time to peck my way around a keyboard. I did have the pleasure of playing two gigs one handed style last week which both went surprisingly well!
Fortunately, we have a few guest mixes stored up to last through the next little while that will cover the remaining few weeks of not being able to use my right hand as well as the stressful final few weeks of the school semester. Kicking things off momentarily will be one by our main man in Chicago m50. Later in the week we will have a nice Thanksgiving present for you, and next Monday our guest mix from Kai Alce will drop on this very site.
If I can get around to it, I’ll write up some reviews of the good older stuff I have recently dug up as well as the order I just made today for some great new tunes from Ron Trent, Theo Parrish, Larry Heard, edits from Rahaan, and the album by Dave Aju.
Also, the entire ISM team’s condolences go out to our man Kenny for the loss of his father. Life is such a fragile and fleeting thing, but that doesn’t make our losses any easier to deal with.
