Ken Gill – Love Moon

One of the things that motivated me to restart ISM was the lack of almost any press coverage of what have been for me (and a lot of DJs I know) some of the biggest tracks of the year. I’d rather start going down that list now than wait till the year’s end.

This one was probably the first best record so far this year. Released on Larry Heard’s Alleviated which is now distributed though Clone, one would think there is no reason for this to fly under the radar. Yet that’s exactly what has happened. The whole record is very nice, but the lead cut “Love Moon” is that kind of deep vocal jam that few are capable of achieving.
