Continuing our ridiculous run of guest mixes is a new joint by our man Scott over at Trackwerk. They have been on a ridiculous roll themselves recently, dropping dope mixes from DJHistory.com forum cats like Richard Carnage, Jaz, Jitterbug, Solid State, and more. It’s a who’s who of online record nerds laying down ridiculous shit for your pleasure. When you add their own mix contributions from Scott, Paul “baleariksoul”, and others, you get a pretty good overview of soulful house, techno, and disco. Which is what we like here at ISM! So yeah, check this one out, he kicks it off with that ill Moritz Von Oswald mix that I need to get and takes us on a tour of much dubby atmospheric shit from people like DeepChord, Convextion, and Mike Huckaby. This one should be right up the alley of any dub techno fiends!

can’t argue with that tracklisting. getting now. thanks…
This is a sh*t hot mix! Love it!
Could you guys stop trying to fill up my hard disk?
Got hip to trackwerk.com several weeks ago. A dope website. Plan on adding it to the SoulFunkLifestyles’s blogroll.
By the way, I remember your gracious offer wherin I send you a mixtape and if up to par infinitestatemachine hosting it. Plan on sending that “No Reservations” mix. (Joint was recorded 1999.) Plan to mail it this coming Monday or Tuesday. Originally it was recorded on a 90 min. chrome tape. The dub I’m sending will be on a 100 min. cassette, normal bias (It’s the only copy I have now — and I know how some folks don’t trust 100min. tapes (LOL)… hope it works for you — by the way I’ve played this tape many times and it has never given me any problems) One more thing: I used the name DJ Casual back then, you’ll hear this on name drops scattered throughout the recording.
Exactly where do I send the cassette (Exact address). Hope you can divulge this info here. If not, perhaps you could post an e-mail address then we could get this taken care of via a quick exchange of e-mails. Not sure if you have access to the “required” e-mail to post a comment on your blog. If you do you could send the address of where I’m to mail cassette there.
P.S. Will be looking-out for your response here. Thanks.
SoulFunkLifestyles Universally Converging !!!
One More Thing — When I made this cassette it was straight off the cuff. All in one sitting. Everytime I play it back I think how in a live setting the duration for which I played 52nd Street’s joint would work but for a mixtape, perhaps, I played it too long for most “mixtape listeners.” Other than that I think it’s a pretty good mix.
The trackwerk mix is fantastic…tracklist is to die for!
Vee nice mixxage from Scott.
at long last, i have listened, and it is wonderful.
