In my long summer absence, I never got to talk about DEMF this year. One of the highlights was the Music Institute afterparty, at which I finally was able to meet Red D live in the flesh. We only got a second to chat in a loud room, but it was awesome to make that connection real!
Speaking of keeping it real, this mix by Red D was done completely unplanned! He picked out the first record and then just dove through his collection picking out each next one as he went along. It’s all about that free flow of music when deejaying! And of course the tracks are dope, not much that I recognized on my first listen through, let’s try to get a tracklist going on this…
Also I need to mention that the most recent record on his great label We Play House features tracks that were made by Red D in collaboration with Lemakuhlar and Social Disco Club, so be sure to check that out as well!
Download the mix here.

If listening to this mix live is this good I can only imagine what a good time it was handing him record after record to see where things would go.
Track @ 19:50 is dope! Sounds WPH’ish.
Agree – track 19:50 is killa! Anyone know what it is?? Track @ 23:00 is blowing my speakers with that base.
