Holiday Cheer from Our Man, Red D

With Christmas rapidly approaching, everyone is gonna be taking off work and chilling out with the family for a bit. Our man in Belgium, Red D of We Play House Recordings, has gifted all of us with a special treat to help warm up for the holidays. Earlier this month, Red D opened up for the one and only Moodymann and was with it enough to not only bang out a badass set, but to record it! I know there’s many of my all-time favs hiding out in here (DC LaRue “Cathedrals”, Tata Vega “Get It Up For Love”, World Premiere “Share the Night”, Erykah Badu “I Want You”, and many many more) along with plenty of neo-soul, hiphop, soul, disco, and of course deep house and techno. Ima try to do a tracklist myself and see if Red D will help out a little, but in the meantime you get almost two and a half hours of beautiful music to keep you company. Big ups to Red D and We Play House for this. Enjoy!

Download the mix here.

We are big fans of Mr. Mcconaughey’s work here at ISM. I was just peeping “Fool’s Gold” the other day. It is essential viewing if you like horrible bullshit films.

this mix saved my marriage on a nightmarish 3 day snowbound drive from Scotland to Ireland with my enormously pregnant wife. thanks Red D!

I know Eddie C just released an edit of this on Wolf Music, titled “My Woman”. Not sure if it is the same song used in this set, but has the same riff.
