gmos24 Tropical Holiday Boogie, Funk, Disco

A new mix from me, kind of a tribute to the summer that never came and dreams of sun drenched beaches in Tropical lands. Mostly late 70s to mid-80s disco, boogie, and funk with some tropical flavours.

Gav – Do you have the original of Do Leme Ao Pontal? Mad props, but then, I should expect this kind of thing from you! Top mix sir! Incidentally, have you heard about the Tim Maia LP coming out next month? Looks sweet (though you may not need it 😉 )

Hadn’t heard about that, no. Only have a couple of 45s of his, does it have Ela Partiu on it by any chance? Love that tune!

  5. Dean says:

It is indeed, amazing track. Here’s a link with info on the album (tracklist etc) http://thetimmaia.com/

Couple of bits on there I thought I’d never get my hands off, especially the Racional stuff. It’s supposed to be hitting wax afaik. Keep yer eye out. What else of his do you have? I’m a bit of a Maia obsessive 🙂

  6. gmos says:

Nice one, I had seen that floating about alright, didn’t realise it was gonna be on wax too, sweet!

The other one I have is Sossego, again on a 7in.

  7. Bootsy Colin says:

    Esbee Family – yeeeeeeaaaaaahhhhhh

  8. Platinum Ray says:

I’ve too many gaps to attempt a stab at the track list. Anyone wanna help a brother out? The one at 27mins, anyone?

  9. gmos says:

Think the one you’re looking for is Esbee Family – Chics And Chicken, ask Bootsy!! 🙂

  10. Platinum Ray says:

    thanks Gmos! 🙂
