G Marie – Tarnished Idol

KM Editions has been putting out some lovely stuff in recent times, such as last summer’s Les Crocodiles ‘La Nuit Des Tropiques’ on their Pleasure Unit imprint.

Now they are coming with a new imprint called Pleasure Wave. The first release is debut outing from South London’s G-Marie, which has really caught my attention. It’s a mini-LP that was conceived after various travels around Europe and Asia and then recorded at his home studio.

The lp ranges from cosmic ambient to techno tracks for the deeper dancefloor, all held together by a thread of exotic spice. Eastern trance music meeds western techno-soul.
