My man [mark] does a little occasional podcast type joint over at his site radiohypno.com that features himself and other friends (some of whom are deejays, some of whom are not) selecting and/or mixing up tunes; yours truly is the guest mixer for the current installment. This mix was also inspired by The Instigator (aka Trevor Combee owner and operator of the mid to late 90’s Pittsburgh record store and label Hypervinyl Records) who played the kind of techno sets I love best, something much less rigid than the normal definition of “techno” but which captures the techno feeling. Here is a link to the post with the mix and tracklist and whatnot. If anyone wants a more hi-res copy, let me know!

Great! Been waiting a while to hear a more techno mix from you, so really looking forward to it. Tracklist looks brilliant, Sexual Harassment + Uncle Jams Army = dope!

thanks again for cookin’ it up. there’s some brilliant stuff in there. my only regret was that i was unable to get my little text-to-speech program to do the spooky whispery voice i’ve used in the past. i had some technical issues.
this is an open call to readers of infinitestatemachine - if you’ve got something you want to lay down in a mix and want to “put it out there”, feel free to hit me up either through tom or contact me via my site comments.

I’m liking this, fits with the Moroder stuff I’ve been ODing on for the last week.
I’d be up for a higher quality file if you’ve got the time.

Yo, Tom, you wrote:
“This is a techno mix like my favorite techno deejays taught me: Carl Craig, Shake, etc. I always do the kind of “house” themed joints that draw from jazz, disco, soul…the way “house” was originally started! And the same thing was true for techno, so i decided to do this mix like that, playing all the individual sounds that birthed techno as well as pure techno records.”
Nice mix.
Acknowledging (a nod to) foundation, too. Respect.

another great selection as per usual Tom, some favs mixed with unknowns, that I now want (eg, that Magnifique track and the Hott City one). also, I’d never heard that Isolee remix before, very nice.
Thanks!
