I’ve been sitting on this one as the excellent mixes Lerosa did for mnml ssgs and Bodytonic dropped over the last couple of months. Finally, it’s time to unleash this one on the world!
Leo has blown up over the exact same period of time that ISM has been around; in fact, “Ruski” (his first “house” record) was one of the very first records reviewed here. It has been fun watching everyone else catch up and seeing how Leo’s music has progressed. Dropping 12″ after 12″ on such notable labels as Uzuri, Real Soon, A Touch of Class, and Millions of Moments amongst others, as well as remixes for Andy Vaz, Tr-One and more has seen Lerosa’s profile skyrocket amongst fans of deep house and techno.
One of the people to take note of his skills is L.B. Bad, whom many of you might know from his releases in the 80s on New York house labels such as Nu Groove. L.B. got ahold of the track “Metaphor” from Leo’s Uzuri 12″ and had his way with it, the results of which are out soon on Leo’s forthcoming Night Radio EP, also on Uzuri. The rest of the EP consists of three banging new tracks which are sure to further secure Lerosa’s place in many deejays’ record boxes.
This mix was done back in July on 2 x 1210′s using vinyl only, in preparation for a gig in Dublin. In his own words, it was “my first mix done on decks from vinyl only, my first since…dunno, 15 years?” Muchas gracias to Leo for bringing this mix to us, I think everyone is gonna enjoy this one!

i think i goofed on that tracklist on my mix, someone corrected me like months later on the TAPE blog’s comments and i never fixed it. i’ll have to check, but since i never know the names of tunes and have to write them down off the records themselves for making tracklists, i would assume that i am wrong.
