count zero – the mercury incident

If you’re one of our stateside readers you’ll probably agree that it has been ridiculously hot lately, both in terms of weather and music. If you don’t concur, well, you’re either lucky to live somewhere pleasant but have been missing out on crazy great tunes, or like me you’re already batcrap insane from the heat. I did a mix a few weeks ago when the daily temperatures were hitting the low 100s which is pretty out of the ordinary even for a New York City summer. The mix starts off kind of cool and laid back but the heat builds from there, until all hell breaks loose and the flames of Hades rise to bust thermometers and raise fevers. Fall can’t come soon enough, but for now keep your heat up with this mix.

I hand coded this one, but on a hard drive somewhere i have an Excel template that I put together a while back that lets you enter A/T/L then concatenates everything into a tag.

Thanks everybody for listening and the nice comments. Glad you’re all enjoying.

Oh, and Tom, you better bump that ish in your ride, it should fit on a CD.

  8. frank says:

thanks, both of yunz. it’s funny you mention that party crashers, just like the omar s record i often end up playing the “wrong” side of the record from the one i intended. i had actually bought that party crashers for the flip side. in fact i had never even heard the track i did put on this mix before i dropped it by accident. A “happy accident” in the words of the immortal Bob Ross.
